Unable to join friends game
Solved
Not completely sure when and why but this is what we observed:
- Friend hosts local multiplayer game - three others connect and play
... after a few hours ...
- Some client disconnects and tries to reconnect - "Friends only" message
- Some client crashes and tries to reconnect after restart - "Friends only" message
- Remaining client can still play as long he does not disconnect in any way
- Host-Player restarts the game - everybody can connect again
Maybe it is related: The host sometimes switches to "invisible mode" in Steam while hosting the game. If the host is up and running and the host-player is in invisible mode we are unable to connect => "Friends only" message too.

Same here. Unfortunately i'll change the review on this game to negative until all these bugs are solved.
The game's running smoothly, but being unable to play with friends as we were before, that's completely breaking it for us.
And seeing Keen not doing ANYTHING at all to solve these new P2P connection problems is highly discouraging.

I have a similar problem, accept my friend was never able to connect, none of them. I even set the server to public. He always gets the Server is not responding message

Hope they can check on this soon, been a while since i last played with my fixed crew and this is completely ruining it.

I have something similar. I have a friend who tries to connect to my locally hosted MP game but gets a Friends Only message. He is only able to join if I go to the Escape menu, click Players and use the Invite button to bring up the Steam invite interface and send him an invite from there.

we were trying to reproduce the issue today but we didn't. Could you provide more information? How do they connect to the game? (steam overlay or friends tab?)

In my instance, they try to join, in game, through Join Game -> Friends tab. He can see my game in the list but when he tries to join, get a Friends Only message.

We reproduced the issue, reported it into our system and it was forwarded to our dev team for investigation.
