Typing Issue in Cutscene editor

When trying to type in any of the following boxes of "Scripting tool: Cutscenes"
The game will still allow player input to open menu's and move the character. Which means when selecting these boxes it won't isolate the player input to the cutscene window.
how to replicate it:
1. create new save
2. press F11 3 times
3. create new cutscene
4. add node
3. type "wasd" into the above boxes
4. note that your character is moving
5. type "i" into into the above boxes
6. note that your inventory is opening
