The new control system makes no sence

Zarhog MC shared this bug 5 years ago
Not a Bug

Whilst using the new control system for Xbox one controllers i found server problems

1)Y = Jump (y should not = jump) the common button for Jump is A

2) Turning on an of the jetpack = x (it should not = X) this is far to inefficient of button placement it should = Y.

3) half your buttons don't do anything -_- are you sure you know how to add button to a line code, i could do this with 1 year of college education and not a good one. come on guys put time into testing your updates once. instead of shitting on your playerbase.

4) accessing the new menu using controller can cause a random RAM + CPU Usage spike + memory leak and crashes the game for both host and client. utilizing a macro i was able to crash a server.

5) your menus don't work with solely controllers please look into reverting back to the old way, far less hassle

6) 90% of this could be fixed if you gave us the ability to re-bind our controllers.

7) sorry if i come across annoyed or like a prick but this was one of the only way i could play the game without hurting my wrists, its verry verry annoying and makes the game unplayable

Hello,

most of mentioned issues are not a bug, except probably point 4. Can you report that separately with crashlog from after the crash? If you would be able to upload the macro, it would help as well.

You can report rest of the issues as controller feedback here: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/general/topic/add as these are mostly intentional, however it is still possible that it will change if there is enough feedback (votes).

Thank you.

Kind regards,
