The collision avoidance function of the autopilot reacts to the image of the projector.

Solved

I made a small ship for the atmosphere that can be autopiloted.

However, when I installed a repair projector on the ship and projected the ship's blueprint over the hull, the autopilot collision avoidance function responded.

When this happens, the ship will not fly along the route and will continue to rotate in the yaw direction on the spot.

Perhaps the remote control block mistakenly recognized that it would collide with the projected image. I would be grateful if you could fix it.

Hello lefter!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Would it please be possible to see your save? I'd quite like to see how you've got this set up and to test it in your world if possible :) Any reproduction steps would be useful too. That will probably be the easiest way to see what is going on with it.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Hello Laura!

Below link is save file.

I created a test area near a base on an Earth-like planet.

The drone XTQ-2 will fly from wp-1 to wp-4 by autopilot.

The drone has a projector.

Reproducibility procedure

-Project the projector image so that it is close enough to or overlaps the drone.

-Turn on the autopilot collision avoidance feature to start the autopilot.

-The drone does not fly along the route and behaves like avoiding a collision.

-Stop projecting the projector image or move the projector image far enough away from the drone before starting the autopilot.

-When you start the autopilot, the drone will fly correctly along the route.

Thank you.
