Terminal Block Triggers to help with non-PB automation

I think adding trigger functionality to many of the terminal blocks directly would help (similar to what air vents do already).

Cockpits / Flight and Control Seats / Cryochambers: Occupied / Unoccupied

Landing Gears and Connectors: Locked/Lock disconnected

Doors: Opened / Closed

Batteries: Fully Charged / Discharged

Solar Panels: Generating Power / Not powering

Reactors: Inventory Full / Empty

Arc Furnaces / Refineries: Processing / Empty

Cargo Containers: Full / Empty

Turrets: Valid Target detected / Target Lost

Ore Detector: Non-trivial ore detected / Not detected

Just commented this in that idea. Glad to know i'm not the only one, who thought about it.

Some single triggers that would also help:

Assembler: Queue empty

Wheels: Wheel lost

Welders and Grinders: Working on something / not working on anything

and "out of components"

I love triggers!

Pistons: fully extended / retracted

Rotors: rotated all the way clockwise / counter-clockwise

Welders: started welding block/ stopped welding

Grinders: started grinding block/ stopped grinding

Drills: started digging into voxel/ stopped digging

Atmospheric thrusters: has entered air/ has escaped air

The ore detector trigger could be adjusted to respond to specific ores in specific ways! Example, if gold detected trigger this light on, if silver, that light. Then you have a room with lights and labels, feels snazzy and a bit retro. I also agree that rotors would massively benefit from having known states, or also being told to rotate a specific direction instead of just reversing. These triggers will solve a lot of issues!

Agreed Zaflow, triggers would solve a lot of issues!

I Had made a similar sugestion a while ago: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/general/topic/sugestion-piston-rotor-merge-bock-actions

There I explain that triggering events on the limits of the pistons is someting that is widely used in real life, also being able to trigger events with the limits of the rotors could be nice too.

Most Importantly this gives you feedback, which is the CORE of industrial automation.

Simple mecha anyone?

Apply this to arm / disarm warheads as well please. I dont want to hit myself with an armed missile. Unarmed is acceptable, armed less so.

Ha! I just submitted this very idea on @Gwindalmir's topic. So glad I'm not the only one thinking like this.
