Tanks will not fill but show Oxygen/hydrogen being added

Solved

Tanks will not fill but show Oxygen/hydrogen being added to the tank but the tank stays at 0.0% filled.


1) added a cockpit, it shows 0 h2

2) rebooted the server (its a dedicated server on pingperfect)

3) powered off the test bed

4) added bottles to generator (bottles will not auto fill, but will fill when"Refill Bottles" is pressed

5) no related errors on server console

6) all the DLC are installed


7) tried a different pc and user, same problem

Thrusters get hydrogen from the o2 generator but not the tank.

cockpit get o2 from the generator but not the tank

And I still am unable to use the tanks or refill them.

Same issue here. This is extremely game-breaking and has caused our party of friends to abandon the game until such time when the bug is fixed.

Hello,


I wasn't able to reproduce the issue. I built simple grid (Battery, O2 generator and Oxygen tank), filled it with Ice and it worked ok, it even filled Oxygen bottles in the tank.


Could you share the affected world or at least the blueprint, so I can try to reproduce it under the same conditions as you did?


Any additional information would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

thanks for the world! It helped a lot. This seems to be caused by a wrong settings inside of sandbox.sbc as some other players were able to solve this as it is written in this comment. I tried their method on the world that you posted here and everything that didn't work started to work after rewriting the line.


You can try this:

  • Go to folder with the world
  • Find Sandbox.sbc
  • Change <SimplifiedSimulation> to false
  • Save the file
  • Delete Sandbox_config.sbc
  • Start the world


Do you use torch instead of vanilla DS launcher? It may be the cause of the issue, as this setting should never be set to true.

Hello, everyone!


This issue was caused by <SimplifiedSimulation> that was changed by server admin to true. It should work fine if it's <SimplifiedSimulation>false</SimplifiedSimulation>.


  • Go to folder with the world
  • Find Sandbox.sbc
  • Change <SimplifiedSimulation> to false
  • Save the file
  • Delete Sandbox_config.sbc
  • Start the world
