Static Grids causing players to slide/jump after a ship has docked/undocked to it
Won't Fix
Hi there. Playing on a dedicated server. We have an issue with static grids (And occasionally large ships that have landed) that after we dock a small grid miner on planets via a connector to unload our latest mining haul and then un-dock that the base/grid then becomes very unstable to walk on.
Players slide/bounce around until they are slide off. This means we have to constantly jet pack around our base on planets wasting Hydrogen to access things.
I had a simmilar case of this. restarting our server and even reconnecting/disconnecting the previous grid had no impact. had to completely remove and rebuild our base via admin tools. havent found a way around it. when it happens, the base has to be deleted. I tried copy pasting the base back, but sence our base was built around terrain with precise placement, with parts under ground. Pasting it back into place was impossible and did not work.
Really sucks. had it happen twice. tons of materials and hours lost. cant walk around in an outpost that wants to eject you through it. hope this gets settled.

I noticed this bug by myself in a singleplayer world, but couldn't figure out what is causing it. Fixed it with a rejoin.

I have had the same bug too on my server and I have also filed a bug report with some video footage and gonna link it, so it can be easier connected to this report. Somehow the issue stopped after some time though, I don't know the reason for that.

Thank you very much!

We have the same Bug on our server, after a few docking/undocking actions, we slide/port/jump in our base and we cant walk, after server restart, it is fine. At this time, we only on planets have this bug.

We're having the same issue on ours as well. Seems to happen often after the server has been up for a while and only inside ships or stations. A restart fixes the issue, but it can get really annoying. You can stop sliding if you run your jetpack to where you are at 0.0 m/s, but if you start moving and hit a bump, stairs, uneven flooring you start sliding again.

I get the same when I play an online session with a friend and even when I’m alone. I haven’t concluded that it’s related to docking but I’ll give it a test. When I’m sliding about I also randomly fall through grids and I can’t go through doors or up stairs.

Hello, Engineers!
As the original message as well as last comments are quite old now, let me ask - are you still experiencing it even on current game version (v197.180)?
If yes, does the behavior changed anyhow though out the time, or is it still the very same?
If not.. thanks for confirming.
Please let me know about the current state.
Kind Regards
