Space Engineers Crash on World Load
Solved
Hello there KSH!
Ive been playing SE since Alpha and have had some issues in the past, but this is by far the most annoying. When I try to load a world, wether it be expermental or not, the game crashes. I can load the game, get into the menu change settings etc, but when I try to load or create a world, im unable to do so.
Ive uninstalled the game several times, ive verified file integrety, checked my firewall settings.
Ive fixed 2 files on the matter. One of the crash log and the other is my dxdiag.
These issues have only arose since the Heavy Industry DLC. Any and all assistance with this is appreciated, as lately I havent felt enjoyment from any other game as I had with SE.
Thank you again,
Sezoia
Hello, Sezoia,
thanks for letting us know about this issue that you are experiencing.
But unfortunately, from your log, it´s visible that you are not meeting minimum requirements to play SE.
You have NVIDIA Quadro 2000 which can be seen as worse GeForce GTS 450 in new naming. Unfortunately, game minimal GPU is GeForce 750.
Also you have Windows 7, which is also no longer supported. Game should run on Win10.
Sorry I do not have better news for you.
You still can try these workaround/fixes to try to run the game on low details:
Verify your game files in Steam (right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files)
Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted). You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
Delete ShaderCache folder (can be find in the same file)
Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
Restart Steam
Reinstall VC Redist 2017
Update graphic drivers
Reinstall the game
Make sure your operating system is fully updated
As these workaround might work, but your HW is outdated and not meeting minimal requirements, I will close this thread.
Kind Regards
