Space engineers constant crashes after the start

Filip Halas shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

Hello,

The game always crashes 1-5 minutes after I start playing it. Usually after a crash I get an error that says: "Graphic driver device has crashed. Your card is probably overheating or the driver is malfunctioning. Please, update your graphics card drivers and remove any overclocking". Sometimes it crashes without an error.

My specs are:

Win 10

Intel Core i7 1165G7 Tiger Lake

Intel Iris Xe Graphics

I have reinstalled game and graphics card driver, did not help. Drivers and everything is up to date. I have tried running game with various setting but without any result. Also my graphic card is definitely not overheating, it runs game smoothly (except crashing).

Thanks for help

Hello, Engineer!

Thank you for contacting us. Please try following steps:

  • Fresh install of the graphic driver → that means uninstall all graphic drivers, when done → delete all remaining graphic drivers and graphic folder on the drive, reboot the computer and install the latest driver
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it (You can access your files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.)
  • Reinstall the game

Let me know if it helped you.

Kind regards

Dear Ms. Červená,

Unfortunately, non of the steps mentioned above was helpful. Game still keeps crashing with same error 1 - 5 minutes after start.
