Sound resets to zero

Robert Francis McDonnel shared this bug 5 years ago
Outdated

In windows 10 sound level starts at zero and stays there.

No matter what actions are taken with operating system software.

No specific game action causes this other than loading the game.

P;ease fix. Other applications have no sound problems.

I remember forever ago on the original bug reports forum, there was a bug with the sound resetting to zero, that bug was squashed some time ago, but it had to do with changing the sampling rate of your audio card... from 24 to 12 or some such work around... lemme see if I Can find it.

that's not the one that I was thinking, but a similar fix.

Check your sound card's sampling rate... if it's higher than 48kHz that might be the problem.
