Soft freezes every 5 min for 3-15 sec

Won't Fix

i have soft freezes(i keep seeing animations) every 5-10 min i get freezes for 3-15 sec also when press escape freeze for 15 sec

i7 7700k 4.5gz

gtx 1060(6gb)

48 gb ddr4 3200

ssd m.2 970 evo plus 500gb

i tried a lot of stuff (reinstall drivers, downgrade nvidia drivers, reinstall windows, change dll file vllibrary, reinstall game on other ssd/hdd ) i just wanna play game but i cannot with this freezes

I decided to save the time of freezes and check in the logs at this time and every 5 minutes I saw the same thing : "Sending event to ElasticSearch: Heartbeat " maybe this will help, i hope ....

Hello, ganover69!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. I have had a look at your log and notice you are running 1 mod. Can you please remove that and try the game without any mods installed and let me know how this runs for you? It could quite possibly be that the mod is causing your issue and I just want to rule this out :)

If this does not stop the issue, please try the following (that you have not done):

Verify your game files in Steam

Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

It means your game configuration will be deleted
You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
Restart Steam
Reinstall VC Redist 2017
Update graphic drivers
Reinstall the game
Make sure your operating system is fully updated

Thank you for this. Sorry, this hasn't helped so far.

Does this still happen on lower graphical settings and by lower tree/grass distance? Could you also try a full uninstall, delete any remaining files in the directory, and a full reinstall? I appreciate you tried an uninstall but sometimes files can be leftover. Please make sure to back up your saves etc beforehand.

Do you use a VPN? After watching a Twitch streamer play, it felt like he was told if they got special items almost instantly, but on my play thru with the freezing it takes a few seconds to 30 second to get told if you get some thing from the workshop

I turned off my VPN, and no longer have any freezes. Comparing the log file placed here with my own I saw that "2022-01-16 12:26:50.053 - Thread: 1 -> Sending event to ElasticSearch: Heartbeat" was the same on mine, goggled that and saw that it was some kind of website connection. I then tried the game with my VPN on and there was no freezes. If the VPN is on I get the freezes. I find it weird that Space Engineers has to page a website repeatedly instead of having that part of the game and just updating it from time to time.
