Slippery Door Subparts 1.189.0
Solved
As of update 1.189.0 the subparts for Advanced Doors are too slippery. The collision is there but if you try to stand or walk up a ramp door you just slide down.

I just found out that magnetic boots are not sure if they want to lock to subparts or not. This can lead to either getting stuck in place with boots constantly locking and unlocking or just unlocking and floating away from the subpart. This is causing a bit of a problem with my Elevator mod as people are not sure why they can't move or leave the elevator when there is no gravity.

That explains why you cant walk on the Stairs of my Iris Door because i had to put the collision for the Stairs into a subpart

I miss using the (DX11) Boarding Ramp Mod, had a real nice ship and that was such a cool entry method. I wish It was a default block in space engineers

this is incredibly frustrating and needs to be fixed really soon. a lot of my ships rely on ramp-ed doors for entry

I have recently discovered that this is a much bigger problem than just the collisions being "slippery". On DS the positions are being calculated differently for server and client and also the position of the collision sometimes seems offset from the actual model. And sometimes the collision becomes more like a soft barrier and you can pass trough it if you push it (or just step on it in some cases). This has made my Elevator mod almost useless on DS.

Yeah, it would be nice to get this fixed. A lot of "fake physics" blocks used MyAdvancedDoor to do fun things, and having screwed up collisions and friction with them is a real bummer. Not to mention all the clever unique doors.
