Skin issue

Won't Fix

Hello, my main problem is that I can't choose a block skin to use (and also I can't put on any of my skins on my character but that was for longer time) so I can use the colour picker on my ship I am building but it doesnt change the skin to the one it should have, or well it does in the P menu but when I colour it it has the basic armor skin (tried with battered, clean and cowmoo) and in the P menu sometimes too it doesnt change the skin for the preview of the block only if I close and reopen the menu a few times


It happened on the EU#1 server after a restart I wanted to fix my solar panel which got struck by lightning which I did but it was welding more after it reached 100% then I went back into my base which got struck on the top and when I tried to fix it only the welding animation was going (with the building sound) but not fixing it so I went into my cryo to relog then I could fix it and from this point I couldn't pick the colour of my ship properly anymore (I relogged a bit after again hoping it fixes it)

Hello!


Thank you for contacting us. I would recommend you to do following steps:

  • Verify your game files in Steam (Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files)
  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (It means your game configuration will be deleted. You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.)
  • Delete ShaderCache folder (same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg)
  • Restart Steam
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
