Setting money for Store Block

Unless i'm clueless and unaware of this being the mechanic, which if it is I apologize, but the Store block seems off to me. So far, me and my friends have been unable to change the charge price for adding a item for sale. Everytime it just reverts to the base price, meaning I can't determine the price I want to sell at.
(Again, I apologize if this is merely a mechanic.)
