Server Up/down hold on 0 after few seconds after connected

HellBent shared this bug 3 years ago
Solved

I faced this problem last year and had to wait 1 month for it to be resolved. When I go to a specific server, after a few seconds the connection is simply terminated and the eternal download begins. This is the same server as last time. Everything works fine on other servers. A friend of mine had the same problem on the same server. The other 10 players play there without any problems.

Hello, HellBent!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. As you say this is a specific server, would you be able to let me know which one it is to see if I experience the same outcome as you and your friend? Would it also be possible to supply a log when this happens?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Hi, the administrator and I figured out what the problem is today. Firstly, such a bug is caused by some kind of error with the projector. We conducted the experiment several times and every time we welded the project to a certain place, we stopped communicating with the server. But such a problem arose only with us, the administrator could continue to be on this base. He re-spawned the structure and the problem disappeared. We also noticed that with each new soldered block, the base loaded the server very heavily, and after the structure was re-spawned, it stopped consuming server resources. We don't know yet if this happens to all players with a loaded structure or only to players from our faction.

Here are the logs for yesterday evening and today.

I hope this helps you.
