Hello NoDrip!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I have done some research and have found a couple of people who had this issue. Can you please check in your Steam Parental controls? I believe these are now called 'family view' so make sure nothing is being blocked here. One user never enabled them but found that these were interacting with the ability to appear online in the game.

When you re-installed the game, did you make sure to clear everything (with a back up of course) just to make sure nothing was left? If not, please do so:

  1. Make a backup of save files
  2. Remove the SpaceEngineers folder from the AppData
  3. Uninstall the game Install the game
  4. Copy the backup to Saves
  5. Run the game, test it

I would also try the following which fix a wide variety of issues (although some you have tried)

  • Verify your game files in Steam
  • Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file
  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated
