Solved

Good afternoon, Since i bought the latest DLC sparks of the future, i can not load and of my worlds.

i started a new game (no mods) and it worked, only problem is, now i have random blocks (ramps, armor blocks, atmo engines, etc..) disappearing and rendering invisible. it happens when i load my blue prints as well. please note i have 300+ hours in the game and it runs beautifully, this is the first time ive had trouble. steps ive taken;

I deleted my CFG file

I deleted Cache folders

i did a save as of the world in question and removed mods to try it again. will not load.

i am currently reinstalling the game to see if that helps.

im running the latest video drivers

all drivers are up to date.

reinstalled .NET frame work all versions and updated DX9, 10, 11, and 12.

Thank you for looking into this. attached is the system info, log..

Good morning Katerina,

I found the problem last night while trying different things. My saves wouldn't load after updating to the Sparks of the Future DLC patch and i noticed that my old saves where not updating to the new version (1.195.018), that was causing the old saves not to load. As far as the objects and blocks rendering invisible, i fixed this issue as well, ill post the steps to fix all issues below. this also gets rid of the stutter lag issue that some of us AMD users have.

Just for your information for anyone having any of these problems, following the steps below will solve these issues and it has something to do with old data in the "spaceengineers" folder found in Appdata / roaming.

1. Type in your explorer: %appdata%\SpaceEngineers

Go to the SpaceEngineers folder

C: users / your username / appdata / roaming / spaceengineers

2. Make a copy of the "blueprints" folder and the "saves" folder and put them on ur desk top.

3. Delete the "spaceengineers" folder in its entirety from users / your username / appdata / roaming.

4. uninstall space engineers from steam.

5. close steam and reopen it and install space engineers and all your DLC.

6. DO NOT put ur copies of the "saves" or Blueprints" folders in yet.

7. Launch space engineers after new install.

8. set ur settings but do not launch a new world yet. after you set ur settings, exit the game.

9. make your way back to the users / your username / appdata / roaming / spaceengineers.

10. pull ur "saves" and "blueprint" folders back into the spaceengineers folder and close it down.

11. launch space engineers and enjoy ur fixed saves, no more missing or invisible objects, and no weird stuttering lag.

hope this helps anyone who has problems like this.

You may close this ticket unless you need or would like more information from me. Im loving the game.
