Saved game missing from Load Game menu

apex kech shared this bug 2 years ago
Solved

After a fresh installation of Space Engineers on PC through Steam, the first Custom Game that I had created is only returnable through the Continue menu option. The save file is completely hidden from the Load Game menu. When I go to Load Game, there is no file to be found. I wanted to go back and adjust some of the Custom Game settings but now I cannot because the file is not found through the Load Game menu.

According to my %AppData% folder for Space Engineers, the Saves folder is labeled "76561198041672373". There are two files in that folder which are ActiveInventory.sbl and LastSession.sbl. These files just overwrite themselves each time I enter the game and then choose the Save As option and then rename the Saved Game. There's no additional Save Files that get generated.

Attached will be screenshots of Load Game menu & Continue Game option

I had forgotten to mention. Afterward I performed Verify Integrity of Game Files. There were 7 additional files missing which were then installed by Steam. The issue did not correct itself.

Update 2: I fixed my own issue

I ran Verify Integrity of Game Files again which resulted in all files validating. When I loaded the game again I actually found my Saved Game & copy of Saved Game listed under the World Types when creating a new Custom Game. I found both saves there, entered them, Saved from menu then Save & Exit and the saved game now appeared in my Load Game menu. I went and did the same with the duplicate copy I made and now both save files appear under the Load Game menu.
