Rovers with big batteries

So recently I had built a rover with a laser antenna on it. I originally built it with small batteries for size, but it was underpowered. Then I rebuilt it using the large batteries and now its uncontrollable. the center of gravity is the same on both and I didn't change anything else on it. I've had this problem with other rover builds but didn't notice that it was just the big batteries until now. The rover starts to shake violently and eventually does a 180 or tumbles on it's side. This sucks quite a bit cause the small batteries are too small a power source and the big ones destroy my drone!
