Remote control/turrets in remote control tool bar

If I sit in a cockpit and I put a remote control block to be controlled in the toolbar, it works as expected. I click the button and now I control the ship through that remote controller. However if I'm currently controling from one remote control and I want to select a second one, putting the second remote control into the first ones toolbar doesn't work. Similary controlling turrets from remote control block toolbars don't work.
