Remote Control waypoint actions delete themselves (reproduced)
Reported
I would like to reopen this bug https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc/topic/remote-control
I started the SOTF scenario (survival with spectator mode and "can access all terminals").
The remote control configuration deletes itself, while I am watching, and the tram crashes into the buffer, and slowly destroys itself and the station.
To reproduce:
- enter tram, sit down, press K, select remote control block
- you see it has 2 waypoints, each has 7 actions
- for the first waypoint, click "set up action", you see 7 actions
- don't touch anything, just watch for 1 min
- tram arrives at the first station and all actions disappear...
- close the config window (escape) and you see that the second waypoint still has 7 actions
- tram returns to second station, arrives normally
- tram returns to first station and crashes into the buffer and the doors don't open...
- same for the second waypoint, click "set up action" and just watch for 1 min
- again it deletes the actions on arrival, and from now on crashes into both buffers and the doors don't open...
Now, if you watch the timer blocks, their actions don't disappear. The timers still activate the autopilot and force it to go back and forth, and it slowly destroys itself and the station.
Hello, AdaRynin!
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I appreciate that you have provided instructions but in this instance, think a video would be a great help to go alongside these as I'm a little confused on the issue/steps when trying to reproduce this. I see the original video has since been deleted. Could you please provide one and this can be looked into? :)
Kind Regards

Hi Laura,
I recorded it here: https://youtu.be/IzInSIibMRQ
The interesting part starts at 1m:50s.
Before that, I just load the Sparks of the Future scenario, and switch on "can use any terminal". The timer block makes the tram go back and forth to the two waypoints, as intended. But since the actions are gone, it doesn't brake at the station (it crashes) and doesn't open the doors.
If I don't look at the actions, it works fine. I was learning how waypoint actions work by watching the tram, but the actions keep disapearing, and I need to recreate the scenario again and again.
PS: For some reason, the mouse pointer is 1 cm off in the recording from where it actually was.

Hello, AdaRynin!
Thank you so much for the video, that explained it perfectly! :) I have successfully reproduced the issue and reported it internally.

I'm now experiencing this on all remote controls since the 1.202 update. The Remote Control loses all of its waypoints as soon as it completes its journey, meaning that it can only complete one journey before having to be set up from scratch again.

I am also having an identical issue. My tram and elevator can only run once before all waypoints are deleted and I have to reset all waypoints.
Started happening immediately after downloading Automatons.

I have the same problem. It mainly causes problems with automatic systems. This makes it impossible to automate. :(
