Remote Control Not Releasing Thrusters

PROBLEM: Remote control is blocking thruster override commands

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1883796648

Test ship for debugging by Keen. Illustrates that programming can't switch from Autopilot to PB control of ship without first coming to a stop or the player manually triggering the Remote control release via pressing WASD etc...

Program runs one pass when you are in flight seat and press 6.

Every even program loop it runs the remote control, every odd it turns off the RC and does a thruster override.

On odd iterations you can see the RC is autopilot off, no dampners, no thrust control and that the forward thruster is overridden. RC will not release control unless you press WASD or the ship stops, at which point the thruster override starts working and ship goes forward as expected.

i have a similar issue i use the autopilot block as a one way guide for missiles it used to work perfectly but now it refuses to work the same way because it doesnt have access to the thruster/s and it turns itself off once it checks for thrusters and since missiles require full thrust on take-off and the remote control block inhibits the thrust to 30% and ive tested this out by placing a seat on the creation and giving the remote control block access to a thruster it will literally putter along (the character walks faster) even with the setting of the speed limit to unlimited.

so please fix this issue Keen Software House (ps add enemy targeting to the remote control block it removes the need to add a whole new block fofr misiles targeting)

Hello, Hemming!

As this thread is now outdated as it is quite old. Can you please create a new thread with any reliable steps for reproducing the issue? This way we can look into it for you :)

Kind Regards
