Red Overlay Does not Show up When Player Dies.

There is supposed to be a red overlay that shows up when the player dies. There is no overlay and when you open the pause menu when you are still dead, the red overlay shows up. It is most likely an issue of that the hud is hidden when you die and it ends up hiding the red overlay.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Could you please explain a little more on what you think should happen? I have found that if for example, I die falling from a height, there is a small red overlay similar to if your health was getting very low. This more round the edge of the screen. I cannot see anything in the respawn menu but wanted to check which game mode this is or if this is in a server as I cannot see any red overlay here? I have also compared this to two older versions of the game and it appears to be the same. Sorry for asking further questions, I just can't quite work out what you mean by this :) Please supply any relevant screenshots that may assist.

I am referring to the red overlay that show up between when the player dies and when the respawn screen appears. The red overlay that shows up when the player's health is very low is the same overlay that should show up when the player dies It works as intended in the version that overhauled survival. I seen a video where the overlay was working as intended.

Hello, WesternGamer!

I have been going backwards and forwards between versions on the rival platforms scenario as it's an easy way to be shot at and then die and respawn. In this scenario, my character's screen gets redder with health loss and then it goes to the respawn menu to choose a location and nothing is red. This is in the current version and quite an older version so am unable to see any differences. Could you supply a video where you see a difference? It could be a certain scenario or something that I am missing :)
