Rapid cycling and drifting menus

The light armor cube cycles rapidly and uncontrollably through all the light armor blocks, making it a luck of the draw which one is selected with the mouse click. This is also true for the full to half slope block (big or small doesn't matter) and the survival kit block (which rapidly cycles between survival kit and basic assembler. Other blocks don't seem to be affected, and this doesn't happen immediately, but an hour or so into play, all the menus immediately scroll down and will not be pulled up when interacting with the selector arrow (menus will stop scrolling if the selector arrow is not over them, however) scroll wheel seems to be interacting with the menus, but its as if there's a strong counter to scrolling the menu bars up, that only allows it to jump up a centimeter or so before immediately being pulled forcefully down. The selector arrow seems to be unable to "grab" the menu bar at all. One further bug that shows up is that items in inventories wont show an update when transferred, to the point of the icon remaining with the selector arrow and in their original inventory unless that menu is closed entirely and re-interacted with.

As you may surmise, this makes playing this game very difficult. I've already went into Steam and attemped to validate the file (it shows as "valid"", I've uninstalled the entire game, then re-installed it, after wiping any saves and not downloading any mods, but the glitches remain. Help?

I'll be adding the links to a couple video files to show these bugs, which it seems have now started happening to a wider array of blocks, making the game virtually unplayable. Very frustrating.

Hello, Sere!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I haven't been able to reproduce the issue you're having looking at your videos. Just to double-check, do you meet the system requirements here -https://www.spaceengineersgame.com/system-requirements/ Has this been happening for a while or only since the recent update? Do you happen to have another device plugged in at all like a controller? I appreciate you've tried a couple of things from the below list but would also suggest trying any that you have not done so far.

  • Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

  • Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
