Randomly generated asteroid ships randomly despawn

I just encountered a (freshly) randomly spawned ship on an asteroid and tried to salvage it, however it was firing at me, so I hid behind the asteroid. The moment I was out of sight the ship despawned.
This also happened on the first random ship I found that despawned while I was in the middle of salvaging it.
I have the same bug
