Programmable Block Code Editor Text cannot be selected with mouse or shift + arrow keys

New Update. I can edit programmable block code in the editor, but I cannot select any of the text, with mouse or shift + arrow keys. The cursor just moves along where I'm dragging/pointing

Actually, Upon further tinkering, it seems that text is indeed being selected, but the highlighted color is not changing (thus appearing to not select)
