Pressurization inside base broken since 1.190

NovaEngie shared this bug 5 years ago
Won't Fix

Since the last major update, my base on a planet with a breathable atmosphere is regularly showing NO oxygen inside, even though the base has plenty of air vents and is set to pull the air from the outside. No internal vents are set to depressurize, and an outside vent is set to depressurize to recharge the oxygen tanks. The indicators on the air vents are showing black.

This appears to be the same exact bug listed here and fixed a while back: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/general/topic/1-188-023-audio-and-pressurization-bugs-far-from-origin

Is this dependent on GPS coordinate, as one might conclude from the other bug?

Hello, Engineer!

We tried to reproduce it at normal coordinates (around 0,0,0) and at far away coordinates (0,0,1000000000000) and we were not successful.

Can you provide us with a save file of the world where it is happening?

Certainly. There are mods, but none that would affect pressurization. While the Conveyor Air Vent mod is in use, this was tested to happen with vanilla air vents as well, and that mod simply calls vanilla code. The issue occurs primarily at the facility listed as Paradise Base (MedBay is labeled), in the main central corridor (huge corridor with red stripes on the sides). It happens somewhat unpredictably. At night it will often be "Cold" inside the facility, and you'll sometimes run into pockets where it says there's no O2 and the temperature is Freeze.

Hello, Engineers!

As this bug is rather old now as well as last comments here, let me please ask if any of you is still experiencing it even nowadays (as of v197.181)?

If yes, is it still the very same, or did the behavior changed anyhow throughout the time and various game updates?

Thanks in advance for either confirming or disclaiming that this issue is still happening to you.

Kind Regards

The problem is still occurring to some extent. The game has a major problem handling pressurization in very large structures, particularly on planets. The game often takes 5 to 10 minutes to recognize the structure is pressurized from world load and has significant lag time if even a small airlock room is depressurized.

Hello, NovaEngie,

thanks for coming back, sharing your concern and confirming that it is still a problem.

However, the world that is shared here 2 years ago is no longer functional in the game - I can not run it. Is it possible you have any more recent save of some broken world? Also, please, keep in mind that we are supporting and reporting for fix only issue that are reproducible on the vanilla (without mods) games. Considering, your world has 56 mods in it, I can not tell whether your issue is/might be due to one or more mods or combination of them.

Can I please get recent save that I would be able to run on current game version, ale would be without any mods, so I can prove it is happening on the base game?

Thanks.

Here you go. Here is a version of this world that still works. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2465295653

The entity you should be testing is Paradise Base, which you can teleport to via the Entity List.

Hello, NovaEngine,

thanks. But despite the fact, that this world works... it still has the same major problem - whole bunch of mods (49 if I´m not mistaken). We need to eliminate the possible mod(s) intersection and issues originating from this.

Is it possible you strip this world from all mods and try to upload it once again, if you will still experience mentioned issue even on the game/save without mods at all?

Thanks.

Hello, Engineers!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
