Player metadata loss when switching PC's

I regularly play on the same server from home and over lunch at work.

Frequently, when I log in, I will find myself having:

1. respawned (instead of in the bed/cryopod I logged out from)
   
2. lost credits and faction reputation I earned during the period
3. lost gps markers I made during the period

Additionally, any faction deposits/withdrawals I've made during the period do not persist.

However, physical in-world objects remain the same. Ships, resources turned in to acquire the missing credits, things purchased with those credits, etc...

The server can reboot or not reboot in the interim. The only constant I can nail down seems to be that the issue probably triggers when I switch PC's.

The most unusual case of this occurred a few days ago. I had flown a short (200km) hauling mission from an orbital station to a planetside one over my lunch break. I logged out in a bed in the station (which was on an earthlike planet with a breathable atmosphere anyway).

When I logged back in from home that evening, I respawned at a medbay of mine on the moon - even though that the ship I'd flown to the surface of the planet had a functional medbay. Naturally, I did not have the credits from the mission either. I flew another ship to 40km above the station where my other ship was and jetpacked down.

When I got within 2km of the surface, my body teleported to the bedroom where I had logged out from initially and I was magnetized in place for a bit. Physics got a bit wonky for a while and I was eventually flung out a doorway to my death - and then respawned on the ship I'd parked next to the station in the first place.
