Planets and ships render as black boxes

When I load into "The First Jump," the ship renders as a black box. This is what it looks like here. I have tried a lot of things from uninstalling all of my mods, to verifying and reinstalling the entire game, twice. It only happens on the ship (as far as I know) and (Again, as far as I know) a planet. Although the planet was from a mod, I removed the mods and uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it after loading it up and loaded in "The First Jump," and treated to the black boxes. I do not know what causes this, I have verified the integrity of my game several times. This is on Steam, if there's any other download portals for the game (other than pirate portals)

Hello romist64,

I suffered this same issue, there were many dead ends. I hope I can help you with my solution. I use a laptop with two different video cards. The trick was to not allow my system decide which to use or share, but to force it only to use my GeForce GTX 980M. You can do this in your Graphics Control Settings you can access by right clicking your desktop. If it looks complicated, just click through each option and choose to toggle on/off or in my case it was to chose to use only, the GeForce GTX 980M for each option it was available for. Hope this helps.

I'm having the same issue. Space Engineers doesn't seem to like using integrated graphics. Anything with atmosphere is covered with black shapes. In space everything displays normally. My integrated graphics chip is more than capable of handling this game, but until this gets fixed I can only use my desktop.
