Placing a rotor makes a truck flip out

Callum shared this bug 4 years ago
Won't Fix

I place an Advanced Rotor on a truck Ive made, and it starts to shiver, then shake, then bounce, then fly way up into the air.

No idea why, or what I can do to avoid. Have tried sharing inertia tensors.

Hello, Engineer!

Can you please provide us with a blueprint of your vehicle? Any additional information will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Thanks so much for your reply.

Blueprint of the Truck attached. When you place an Advanced Rotor on the back (on block shown red in the Screenshot), the shivers start. Stand clear!

I have very similar issue. On a small block grid.

I place a piston on my vehicle. Then place a rotor on the end of the piston. Then the vehicle immediately start spinning wildly around it self. It matters which way the rotor is facing. As it only does this when facing a specific direction.

Try place a rotor pointing up on the end of the purple piston. On the attached vehicle.

Extra info.

After a bit of experimenting. It turns out that the atmo thruster below the rotor, is part of the problem.

Hello!

Thank you for the blueprints. I have tried to reproduce this issue, however, I have not been able to. Is it possible that this could be retested in the latest version of 1.197.072?
