PC - Crash to desktop after installing Wasteland DLCs

Solved

I've updated my game with the Wasteland DLCs (free and paid) and now it crashes after the intro video/if the video is skipped. I have validated the game files, and uninstalled and reinstalled the game but the issue persists. Even tried rebooting my PC. No change.

Hello!


Thank you for your report. Could you please provide us with your logs? You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers. Please send us your SpaceEngineers.log and VRageRender-DirectX11.log.


I would also recommend you to:

  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it (same access as logs)
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game again
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated¨

Logs have been attached.

Based on your recommendations, I have made a backup of the SE AppData folder and deleted the old one.

I have restarted Steam, and reinstalled VC_Redist 2017, x64 version.

I updated my graphics driver to the latest version 457.30 from Nvidia.

I reinstalled Space Engineers.

I confirmed that my computer is fully updated.

System Specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core Processor @ 3.20 GHz

16.0 GB DDR4 RAM

NVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Graphic Card (Driver 457.30)

Windows 10 Home, Ver. 2004 64-bit

149.2 GB of free storage space

I had tried Uninstalling and reinstalling the game before, without deleting the SE Roaming AppData. Since doing that, the issues have seemed to resolve themselves.
