overdrive stuck on

As soon as i lock onto a base connector my ships "UP" thrusters - atmos switch overdrive on and will not allow me to disable. gyros also limited - if i disconnect and reload game all back to normal but lock onto connector and thruster icon in hotbar switched between large and small thruster and again overdrive option is locked on. Rebuild engines all good, until... lock onto base connector-
when disconnect ships fall and flying is bouncy
Is always only the UP thrusters that get overdrive locked on
