Ore Spawning

I believe this might be a bug

So every time I load up a new world I go to mine like a normal engineer but I don't find different type of resources in the one area I find 1. So I will spawn in and say the is astroids around goto check what is on them and all they say is 1 material lets say silicon is it for this time but if I travel about 75 000 to 100 000 km away there will be let's say Cobalt. I have actually never found an Iron resource or Ice ether. What also ticks me off about this is if I load up one of the premade maps doesn't happen often. If it's just me/my side please tell me how to fix.

Sorry gotta mention this all happens on the solar system map

Asteroids currently spawn 0-2 different kinds of ore, with 1-3 patches of 10-30 KG of each ore. It's really really broken, and the devs don't seem interested in letting us make mods to fix their terrible decisions.

got any mods that could help cause if its that broken ima need them. I want to play the space adventures but yer.

Actually, I have a page here on this site complaining about the inability to mod this feature. I have tried to make a better ore generator mod, but for the time being, the "game" is only worth playing in creative mode.
