Opening a large inventory drops simspeed considerably

I noticed a harsh simspeed when displaying the full inventory on one of my grids, I did not notice this happen before update. It seems the drop is related to the amount of inventories displayed, i can improve the simspeed by filtering some out.
Turning off production blocks does not improve the issue.
I've tested with mods removed, the issue persists.
Is this a hardware issue i had not noticed, is this an engine limitation, or an actual bug? The grid Does have a considerable amount of cargo containers connected on all sides, which could slow down item transfer pathing, but i'm not actually moving items, just looking at the inventory.
