Offline games crash to menu when PC loses internet

Won't Fix

My internet is playing up lately, it will disconnect frequently for a few seconds. My space engi game is set to offline, and I have cloud sync turned off but my game still crashes to menu every time my internet has trouble.

1 I have the same bug

Please send us your SpaceEngineers.log

It should be in your %appdata%\SpaceEngineers folder.

To get to this folder use Win+R to get run dialog

Type: %appdata%\SpaceEngineers and confirm.

Here you go. This seems to be happening every minute now, it may be to do with something in my world. I tried pulling my ethernet cable out and my game didn't crash, even though whenever it did crash before I noticed my windows tray showing an internet disconnect at the same time.

is this log from the session where this issue happened to you?

There seems to be mention of joining a lobby, not playing singleplayer.

If not, please provide a log after this happened at least once in a session and during the session please refrain from joining any other world so we can isolate this issue.


If you think it could be world related, then please share the world with us as well.


I also tried pulling the ethernet cable and it also did not happen to me.

That log was an isolated test. I haven't joined any servers in the past few days. I have only been on my singleplayer game which is set to offline. Il give you another log from yesterday where I was playing more and crashing more on the same world.

Hello, yes I still have an issue where my offline game will crash to menu but I'm not sure its the same issue as it used to be. My internet troubles are fixed and the crashing happens less frequently but it's still there.

The message I got says "Unexpected error while joining the session. Please try again later."

Yeah I do get crashes to menu but they're very rare now and I dont think it's the same issue. Next time I crash il get a log and make another thread. You can close this one.
