Official "Uranium Heist" server crash to desktop

Curtis Tate shared this bug 3 years ago
Won't Fix

Whenever I try to join a official Uranium Heist server that I've been on recently, SE crashes to desktop w/o a crash log notice. This has only been on servers that I've been on very recently (no respawn screen). I see something at the end of the included log saying some errors w/ animations but idk.

Also, is gravel set to spawn anywhere? I've run the scenario multiple times and have never gotten any gravel to build the reactor comps for the small reactor on the escape pod. I've explicitly ignored the uranium and just spammed the resource nodes and never gotten any gravel. W/o that, this is unbeatable.

Hello, Curtis!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Could you confirm if this issue only happens on the official servers with Uranium Heist? Does this also happen with the official servers for other modes?

I would try our general advice first to see if any of these are possibly causing your issue. Please let me know how you get on.

  • Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

/bfSnH0rGoN-NgctSWBJN3LfvWZvgnfye9BrPgucxV0n8TDpNc-7yZYwSifdRXyl1quu20KGUNmHzSf6VGRbhWS4a_EYn2MclxJSOz6eVarmz-fhTWVaofVOAVZN_l_leF9dgQ5GF

  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

  • Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

In regards to the gravel, this should be spawning. I spent a number of hours playing this recently and never experienced a scenario where it didn't spawn and we were in need of it. I believe the items will be replaced if they are picked up. As long as you are picking up the items, the gravel should then spawn at some point :)

Kind Regards,

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.
