Negative Pcu

I managed to get negative pcu while using a welder grid to make a large ship but unlike the similar bug threads i owned the entire welding grid and projected ship -update deleted some pcu about 3k and when i welded some more of my projected ship it goes back in to the negative

Here are steps to reproduce this bug:
1. Have almost no pcu left, 1 for each block you want to place is enough
2. Place all blocks you need, BUT DON'T weld them.
3. Grab a grid-welder and start welding all blocks you placed.
4. Profit! a nearly endless pcu limit!
Why is this happening?
Placing a block counts as 1 pcu, and only when welding it by hand, it will stop you from welding or placing more blocks once you reached 0 pcu.
When welding it with a grid-welder, the pcu will subtract from your total, but won't stop you from placing it once you are =< 0, aslong as the wireframe of the block is already placed.
