MyLaserAntenna's faulty LosTest()
Solved
MyLaserAntenna fails it's line of sight test for entities without physics. This includes projected/preview MyCubeGrids and all MyEntities. I discovered this bug while developing my Defense Shields mod, but it affects non-modded games as well (projected grids).
In my opinion the best and simplest fix is to first check if the MyEntity has active physics and if not ignore that entity

Hello,
this was supposed to be fixed in version 1.189.
Anyone still having the issue?

I just checked and this issue is NOT fixed. MyEntities with null physics still block the laser.

Hello,
can you upload the world where it is happening? I tried it but I am not able to reproduce it.

This is still an issue. As described previously while inside the bubble they connect but outside the bubble no they cannot connect. The only thing that fixes it, is turning off the shield emitter.

Did they ever fix this?

I have either this issue or a similar one on the Xbox version of the game. When setting up a laser link from Mars orbit to Earthlike orbit (No clue why I did it), the lasers would not detect each other. this continued to happen no matter how many times I went back and forth (in creative mode) to make sure they were set to the right coordinates.
Edit: I misread the issue. The issue for me is just not loading the other station across all the distance.

As per @Nicholas Wayne Gross's comment, laser antennas are still being blocked by the shield emitter. They cannot connect within a 1km range of the shield emitter.

When is the fix coming? It's been marked as solved!

They are probably ignoring this one now that they marked it as Solved. I guess you could try to report a new bug, maybe under somewhat different name and describe the problem so that it's clear what are the criteria for it being solved.

This is still not solved, please consider marking this issue appropriately.

Still not fixed despite them flagging this "solved". Is this what Keen does? Just label problems "solved" and ignores them?

This impacts me tremendously. Results in lasers failing completely

Issue is not solved. Not sure why it is marked as such.
