Won't Fix

When multiple cockpits are present on a ship, and both of them has a player in them, the vehicle refuses to move, and both cockpits become functionally the same as a simple passenger seat.

Removing/replacing them does not solve the issue, nor designating one as "main cockpit".

The vehicle becomes irrecoverable, constantly giving

the message "another player is using this ship"

even when the other player has left it and when the other cockpit is fully grinded down.

The issue can be reliably reproduced. (With remote controll blocks too!)

Hello, FazekasPK,

thanks for sharing your issue with us. However, when I did test it, it was working just fine.

The first character to be in the cockpit is always in control for me. This shifts, when there are both in cockpits, and the one having the fly control leaves the cockpit, than the one who was forbidden to control now can use the ships thrusters and steering.

Only weird behavior was in edge case, when I did control the ship with player 2, and with player 1 I set his cockpit to be the main. But that also makes sense, since you can not manually set "I want to use this cockpit now," as there is already one player/cockpit in control of the ship (and the message in this case was: Grid control forbidden. Seat/Remote with higher priority is already occupied). Upon leaving and getting back with both characters the behavior was normal from this time on - the main cockpit was indeed used as the main one.

If you are still experiencing it and it wasn´t just some one-time thing, can you please share more info? Did it happen on Lobby MP, on dedicated server or public one? Did it happen in space or on any planet? Was the ship big grid or small one?

Can you please share a video of this bug happening? That would be a great help for me to see what is really happening and how to replicate it on my side. Also blueprint of the ship might help.

Thanks in advance for your reply and for sharing those files.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
