[1.187.xxx] Movement Problems

There are a couple of problems with movement of thruster controlled grids.

Bug 1 - Stationary grids that have low thrust:weight can get 'stuck' until you roll/yaw/pitch the craft.

To replicate:

create a dynamic (small) grid in space consisting of a cockpit, gyro, large container, and 6 small ion thrusters (1 in each direction)

fill the container with steel plates

try to thrust in any 1 direction: no acceleration

try to thrust, but use gyro to alter orientation = can accelerate now

Bug 2 - Gyro override strength trumps non-overrided gyros

To replicate:

add 5 more gyros to the previous grid.

Set all gyro power to 100%

set one to override

can't roll/pitch/yaw even though 5x the manoeuvering gyros vs 1x overriding.

Bug 3 Gyro override kills roll rate (side note: SE use of yaw/pitch/roll is incorrect)

to Replicate on previous grid:

set the override gyro to 0.000001 strength

try to bank left or right

roll rate reduction is strong and independent of override strength. If an override is on, you can barely roll.

Sorry, I had similar problem and couldn't replicate #1. Turns out you need to add a connector to it too.

This issue for #1 is with the connector it seems as I can remove the connector and the same grid will move np with minimal thrust.

This is an issue that was fixed, then broke again quite a while back- hopefully the fix isn't too difficult the 2nd time around...

Hi,

I reproduced issue 2 and 3, which actually could be the same bug. It's reported and someone will look at it. I have problem with reproducing issue no.1 though. Could you upload the blueprint so I can try it with it?

Thank you.

BUMP- the sources of the problem have been identified, please expedite a fix ( connector issue and grid-mass-stop issue as noted here: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/general/topic/ships-with-very-bad-thrust-to-weight-ratio-get-stuck ).
