Minor Bug: If you plug a wireless controller into a cord you can no longer use handheld weapons
Won't Fix
So this is a weird bug and kind of inconsequential. But if you use an XBox Elite Controller wirelessely. Then plug it in to a cord to load batteries, you can no longer use any hand held weapons by pressing R2 or L2. Nothing happens when you press these buttons. This includes for example Drill, Welder, Grinder, Pistol. You can still place blocks regularly by pressing the L2 and R2 buttons.
If you take out the cord and play wirelessly again it works. This is reproducible on multiple restarts of the game and on any save.
Hello, Yarr man,
thanks for letting us know. We are aware of this issue and it´s not entirely on our side, sadly.
With the time, for some players suffering with this issue, it has proved that this (bellow) workaround/controller setting in Windows is working and fix this issue. It helped me as well when suffering with same problem on my wired X360 controller. So please try these steps:
1) On your PC, open Control panel, switch to Large Icons
2) Go to Devices and Printers
3) Right click on the gamepad and open 'Game Controller settings'
4) Select the controller and press 'Advanced' button
5) Select 'Controller (Xbox One For Windows)' as preferred device
6) Press 'Ok' button
After doing so, please let me know if this fixed the issue and you can use your controller fully in the game.
Kind Regards
