Medbay appearance changer gets you stuck in the upper atmosphere

I tried to change my appearance, and now my camera is stuck in the upper atmosphere for some reason. Pressing 'g' brings me back to the appearance module momentarily, but my character steps out of it, and then the camera return to the upper atmosphere.
