Large Ion Thrusters & Projectors Crash Servers

Vivacious_Vii shared this bug 4 years ago
Won't Fix

Specifically consistently reproducible on Canada #1, but it seems a welder placing a thruster at any angle except where the thruster is facing away from the welder will outright crash the entire server. We've discovered this building larger ships, and at first we believed it had something to do with the projection penetrating a welder wall, but no, upon further investigation it's definitely just anytime a projector and welder place down a Large Ion Thruster.

A few weeks ago we printed a large carrier with lots of large ion thrusters in it on Alehouse PvP One server. That's a vanilla server with experimental mode enabled for programmable blocks to work.

We used a shipyard equipped with a welder wall based on moving heads behind a glass wall. It did not crash the server during the hours long process. I wander whether this issue has been fixed already. Is this still reproducible on Canada #1?

In case it would still crash Canada #1: Could you please provide the blueprint of the printer used and the ship printed? These could help reproducing the problem on a vanilla dedicated server.
