Just like the search contracts that don't spawn the pods you have to search for, the escort contracts down spawn the ships you have to escort anymore.
I have the same bug

So in today's update you adjusted the escort contract payment and reputation amounts. However, THEY STILL DON'T SPAWN IN A SHIP FOR YOU TO ESCORT! Seriously? You fixed something that wasn't broken, but left the whole feature broken...I tested search contracts as well, they do not spawn in either, still...
