[1.187.088 and all prior to that] Jump Drive GPS Coordinates are sorted differently to the GPS Tab

LordTylus shared this bug 6 years ago
Solved

From the view of UX and UI design objects of the same type should be sorted in the same way across all lists and views.

I noticed however that the GPS coordinates in the GPS Tab are sorted alphabetically. In the lists of remote controls and jump drives they are sorted in a different way.

the newest coordinate always seems to be on the bottom. After its no longer the newest one its sorted randomly somewhere in the lists. This is very confusing and due to the lack of a search function it takes a looong time to find the destination you are looking for.

Please fix :-)

No one else having this problem?

It would also be helpful to have a search field at the top of the list for a jump drive in the control panel tab, the same way there is in the GPS tab.

Same problem here.

This is a huge problem for me as I have all my previous asteroids/ore deposites noted in my GPS system.

We absolutely need a consistent way to sort and sift through all of the locations on the GPS tab, Remote Control menu and the Jump Drive destination list.

I have resorted to adding a bunch of 1s to the points I need to jump/RC to.

Ex.: Fe 1 [Asteroid]11111111111

This is such a tedious workaround and needs to be fixed, please.

Yeah once your list of GPS points grows it becomes a total pain in the ass to find what your looking for in the jump drive gps list. Please fix this! Alphabetize please at the least. I don't think it's a bug anyhow. The list has NEVER been in order for me in 2450 hours of play time. Just an oversight but def. needs to be corrected.

Yes please fix this. At least make the list in the Jump Drive destination selector sort the same way the list in the GPS menu does. Ideally both would have sort options (By name, forward/reverse and distance) and search.
