Issue with automatic sorting on multiplayer server

Jared shared this bug 3 years ago
Won't Fix

There is a strange issue I am having on a dedicated server, where items are not sorted when they should be. For example, when placing a hydrogen tank with less than 100% fuel, it will not be pulled into the O2/H2 Generator. Despite this, however, I can do it manually.

The other issue that pertains to this is storage on a miner not being used correctly. While it was created and used correctly in single player, the ore mined will only be deposited in the drill and medium cargo container, but not the cockpit and connector. It seems to be an issue with multiplayer itself, as these issues are not reflected in solo scenarios.

Hello, Jared!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. Could I ask if the server you are experiencing these on has mods at all? If so, can you please test this on an unmodded server?

With regards to this first point, this would probably be much easier to understand with a save file (as mentioned below)

With regards to the second point, I have tried this in an un-modded fresh dedicated server or Earth Planet with the miner and the cockpit/connector does take deposited (stone) unless you mean strictly ore and not stone?

It would probably be easier for you to supply a save file and I can test this in both singleplayer and then on a dedicated server. Please make sure the world is completely free from mods.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
