Hydrogen/Oxygen Conveyors Won't Work Until the Game is Reloaded

For context, I was playing an offline/single player Solar System start.

When I first hooked up a H2/O2 Generator to a Hydrogen Tank, it didn't start filling. I thought I was doing something wrong and just left it at that. The next day, I load the game up and it's working just fine. I was trying to get a Hydrogen Engine to work. So I hook the now filling tank up to the Engine, but nothing. So I reload the game and the Engine is running. I've had this happen on 3 other occasions and each time reloading fixed the issue. I didn't change anything between reloads. It seems there's an issue with gasses moving through conveyors, and reloading the game 'jogs their memory' so to speak. It isn't the worst thing since it can be fixed, but it is annoying having to reload every time I need to see if things are working correctly.

Also, the Hydrogen Engine was doing its working animation even while it said there was nothing in there and it was producing no power. Not sure if that's related or not.
