Hydrogen Thrusters Turn Off When Entering Cockpit

Whenever I enter the cockpit of my new ship, the hydrogen thrusters disengage. I know another bug showed that the thruster flame effect disappears, but based on the ships rocking as soon as I enter the cockpit, it's pretty clear to me that the thrusters actually turn off.
