hydrogen thrusters

every time I get to the upper atmosphere with hydrogen thrust from the earth like planet it stops working, when it does this there is no more flame in the thruster but it's surroundings light up like it's there and pushing on the thrust does nothing I've lost two ships and have tried grinding them down then rebuilding them, turning the ship power on and off and did the thrust override but nothing seems to fix it I'd appreciate any help

May seem obvious but, just to be sure.... what size grid are you using, and do you have hydrogen tanks and ice on the ship in question? Small grid hydrogen tanks have a very short burn time, even with a single large thruster. Large grid tanks are much better but the time is limited again depending on the fuel. Though it sounds like you are seeing the light from the flame effects, which is a bug if the hydrogen ran out of fuel, and doubly so if it still has fuel but stops working. In my experience you basically need one large tank per large thruster to get decent burn times out of hydrogen in the atmosphere. Also setting up thrust override for your planetary escape helps minimize wasted fuel.... Either way, people here will need more details from you to address this problem.

It was a large ship grid for both, I checked the fuel it said it still had enough but thank you for the advice

The real "advice" here is that you should leave more details on how to recreate the bug. There is an accepted format to bug reports, and unless the reports are in that format (which helps reproduce the bug, which in turn helps the devs fix it)... you may not see any real attention here... So, again... you should try and document the exact steps and settings required to reproduce this bug. Just friendly advice.
