Hinges causing extreme klang at 90 or -90 degrees

Katti Koskinen shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

Whenever a hinge hits either 90 or -90 degrees, it violently bounces back, causing a feedback loop that destroys or dislodges the hinge. When hinge max limit is set to 89.9 degrees, this does not happen. Never saw this happen until the latest(?) update.

Hello, Katti,

thanks for sharing your issue with us. However, when I did try it, I did not observe any weird behavior even on the min/max limit set as you described.

You think it might be possible to share me a video of this bug happening, as well as send me either the blueprint for the affected grid and/or whole save file, where you observe this behavior, please? That would be a great help, as I could try it on your exact settings and environment.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thanks in advance for providing the requested.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards

FWIW, I've seen this, too, in local offline play, but couldn't derive a blueprint to reliably reproduce the issue.
